Braedon, Valley Center Middle SchoolBraedon is in seventh grade and has served his community with YVC for 2 years. This is his first year serving on the Youth Advisory Board. In his free time, Braedon likes to compete in rodeo. He also likes to play his guitar and drum set. He enjoys volunteering with YVC because it is a good way to learn, make new friends, and have a positive impact on his community.

Emily, Derby Middle SchoolEmily is in eighth grade at Derby Middle School and has volunteered with Youth Volunteer Corps for two years. Her favorite project so far has been spending a day at the Kansas City Community Kitchen. Emily enjoys helping others and is excited to serve her third year on the Youth Advisory Board. In her free time, Emily likes to dance and spend time with her family.

Kellie, Campus High SchoolKellie is a tenth grader and has served with YVC for the last three years. This is her first year serving on the Youth Advisory Board. Kellie enjoys music, playing the flute, sewing, drawing, and watching anime in her free time. She enjoys volunteering with YVC because it helps her learn more about her community, gain skills that will transfer to a job, and build confidence and leadership skills.

Matthew, Campus High SchoolMatthew is in ninth grade and has served with YVC for the last three years. He joined the Youth Advisory Board this year and is excited to work as a team with his fellow members. Matthew enjoys playing the X-Box, riding his scooter and hoverboard, and drawing. Volunteering with YVC helps Matthew see possible career options in the future and learn leadership skills.

Tryphena, West High SchoolTryphena is a sophomore at West High School. She participates in choir concerts, both in school and in church, because she loves singing and playing the piano. Tryphena started volunteering with YVC in the summer of 2020. She enjoys serving with YVC because it helps her see life in different perspectives. Tryphena says, "volunteering with YVC is so much fun and you should try it too!"

Tryphosa, West High SchoolTryphosa is a sophomore at West High School. She and her twin sister have volunteered with YVC since the summer of 2020. Tryphosa loves to play the keyboard and drums. One day, she wants to become an obstetrician. Tryphosa's favorite YVC project so far has been the 9/11 project. She decorated a terracotta pot and donated it to a fire station. Giving back made her feel so good and happy.
