Go to the Volunteer page and click "Register" on the project you want to sign up for.
Before registering for any projects, you will be prompted to complete a YVC youth profile and waiver. All volunteers must fill out a waiver before participating in any Youth Volunteer Corps activities. A youth who attends a YVC project without a waiver may not be permitted to serve. Some agencies require a separate volunteer waiver, which will be provided prior to the project start.
After submitting your waiver, you will be asked if you want to fill out another waiver for another child or if you want to select your projects. If you do not need to fill out another waiver, choose "Select Your Project(s)".
You will be redirected to a page that lists available projects. Click "Register" on the project you want to sign up for.
On the project page, you will find more details about the project, including the date, time, and project description. Enter the name(s) and number of youth you are registering, and then click "Add to Cart".
Click "Cart" at the top of the page, then "Checkout". If there is a cost for the project, you will enter your payment information before completing registration.
Once you have finished checking out, you will receive a confirmation email that you have signed up for the project.
Our program director will notify you of any important information or changes regarding the project before the project date.

WHAT IS A TYPICAL PROJECT LIKE? Projects are supervised by a YVC team member. YVC volunteers join a team of their peers, ages 11 to 18, to volunteer their time to help local nonprofits and learn about issues in the Wichita community. Participants should arrive around 10-15 minutes early and an icebreaker or team-builder activity starts each day of the YVC program. Volunteers are introduced to one another and the agency staff who will provide instructions to the team. As service takes place, the program director will lead volunteers in service-learning activities, energizer games, and facilitate meaningful reflection. Our goal is to create service that is rewarding, challenging, and educational. ARE LUNCH AND TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED? No. Participants are responsible for lunches and transportation to and from the event. Project location details will be provided at sign-up and confirmed with registrants prior to events.
